Hosting & maintenance

Domain and email in your name, the site yours, so you're not tied to anything.

What you get out of it

Why good hosting protects your visitors and your email.

A site that's slow or unreachable costs you visitors without you noticing.

  • ReachableYour site and your email keep working, even when something breaks.
  • SecureUpdates and backups stop a vulnerability or a mistake from costing you your site.
  • YoursDomain, site and email are in your name, not your web builder's.
Included

We take care of your hosting, email and security.

Your site and your business email keep working, and nobody else can get in. Backups, updates and spam filtering are taken care of.

Your site stays up

Hosting and security. Every version of your site is kept, so if something goes wrong, the previous one is back within a few minutes.

Business email on your own domain

An email address with your own business name, set up so other mail servers trust it.

Changes made for you

New prices, copy or photos? You send them over, we put them on the site.

Secure and by the rules

Security, the privacy rules and your legal pages are kept up to date.

It stays fast

We measure the speed again with every change. If it gets slower, the change doesn't go live.

Broken gets fixed

If something we built breaks, we fix it.

Speed

A slow site costs you customers, and you don't even notice.

Someone taps through to your site and the screen stays blank. They go back and pick the next one. You won't see that anywhere: they simply don't call.

Our latest projecttime until the page is on screen

Three measurements in the same setup; the middle one counts. Google itself goes by figures from real visitors, and counts under 2.5 seconds as good. We measure again at every delivery, and you get to see the figure.

What a fast site gets you

More visitors stay

People who see straight away what you do read on. People staring at a blank screen are gone before they know who you are.

Google takes it into account

Google measures how fast your pages load and takes that into account in the search results. That's something you control.

No wasted clicks

If you advertise, you pay for every click. Anyone who clicks away before the page appears is money you've lost.

Every month

One page showing what the site has brought in.

No dashboard you have to dig through yourself. What came in, where it came from, and what we're doing next.

Security

What can go wrong, and what's already in place for it.

A site that's down costs you enquiries. This comes as standard, without you having to do anything.

  1. 01

Someone tries to take your site down

All traffic first passes through a network that absorbs attacks. Anything suspect is stopped before it reaches your site; you don't notice a thing.

  2. 02

    Bots try to log in

There's nothing to log in to. Your site has no admin panel and no plug-ins, so there's no login page to attack.

  3. 03

The padlock in the address bar expires

The certificate renews automatically. Your site is always on https, even when nobody's thinking about it.

  4. 04

    The server goes down

Your site isn't on one server but in hundreds of places at once. If one drops out, a visitor doesn't notice.

  5. 05

    Something breaks after a change

Every version is kept. Going back to the previous one takes a minute, not an evening of searching.

  6. 06

    Someone is watching your visitors

There's nothing on your site that watches visitors unless you asked for it. What is on there is listed in your privacy policy.

Who owns what

You're not tied to anything. This is yours, and this goes with you.

  1. Your domain name

Registered in your name with the registrar. We only get access to set it up.

  2. Your email

An email environment in your name. We have admin rights, not ownership.

  3. Your website

The files and the source code are yours. You get all of them, whenever you want.

  4. The hosting

We look after that for you. If you want it on your own account, we'll put it there.

  5. If you leave

You get all the files, the list of page addresses and the access to your domain and email. Another party can pick it up straight away.

Switching

Is your site somewhere else at the moment? Here's how we move it, step by step.

The risk is in what's already there: addresses Google knows, saved links and your email. This is how we handle it.

  1. 01

First a list of everything that's there

Every address on your current site, so no page quietly disappears after the switch.

  2. 02

    First on a test address

You see the new site before it replaces the old one. Nothing goes down.

  3. 03

    Every old address redirects

Anyone using an old link or arriving through Google lands on the right new page.

  4. 04

    Your email keeps working

We move domain and email in a way that means no message gets lost.

  5. 05

    Measured before and after

We measure speed and visibility before the switch, so you can see the difference.

How we work

First understand what you do, then get to work.

  1. 01

    Analysis of what's there

Where your site, domain and email are now, and who has access to them.

  2. 02

    Moving

Everything into your name, and moved so that your site and email keep working.

  3. 03

    Securing

Certificate, backups and protection against abuse set up.

  4. 04

    Measure

A first speed measurement, so we can see whether it gets better or worse.

  5. 05

    Upkeep

Changes, updates and a short overview every month.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do you do website maintenance as well?

Yes. Website maintenance is part of the service: backups, security, speed checks and the changes you send us. You don't have to keep track of anything yourself.

What if I want to switch?

Then you take everything with you. Domain and email are in your name, you get all the files, and we move the hosting to whoever you choose.

Do you also build new things?

New pages, features or a new design aren't part of maintenance. We agree those separately, with a fixed price up front.

What about backups?

Every version of your site is kept, at the hosting and in a separate copy of the source code. If something goes wrong after a change, we put the previous version back within a few minutes. Your email is with Google; deleted email can be recovered there for up to 25 days.

Do I need to keep track of anything myself?

No. You send us the changes and we put them on the site.

Can every site be moved?

Usually, yes. If your site runs on a system you can't get the content out of, moving it means rebuilding it in practice. We tell you that beforehand.

Will I lose my place in Google if I switch?

Nobody can promise you won't. What we can do: make sure Google finds every old address in its new place. That's where a switch most often goes wrong.
